Neutrogena Hydro Boost Eye Roll On

I've been a lover of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Concentrate for a while now and thought it was about time I tried some other products from the range. One of the things I picked up was the Hydro Boost Eye Roll On as I was in desperate need of an eye cream. I don't think I've ever owned or used an eye cream as I'm simply not convinced I need one but I thought I'd give this a go anyway.

Similar to the night concentrate the eye cream has a very light-weight, almost watery consistency. All of the products in the range contain hyaluronic acid which keeps your skin supple, youthful and full of moisture. I've really been enjoying the eye cream and find it keeps my under eyes hydrated and much less puffy than usual. I roll it on at night time over my moisturiser and facial oils and then pat it into my skin. Unfortunately, I have read from other reviews that the eye cream doesn't contain much hyaluronic acid which means it won't do a whole lot for your under eyes long term. All in all I've been enjoying the eye roll on but there are probably better eye creams to spend your money on.

Have you tried the eye roll on? What do you think of it? Are there any other eye creams you'd recommend?

Sephora Haul

What do you ask for when your boyfriend goes to Sydney for work and asks you if you want anything? Sephora goodies of course! Here in little old Perth we aren't fortunate to have a Sephora yet and while we do have online Sephora- it's really not the greatest shopping experience. By that I mean they are literally ALWAYS out of stock of everything I want. So of course I gave my boyfriend a big list and this is what he managed to pick up for me!

Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Palette- Rose Gold Edition
This has been on my wishlist for SO long and I'm so happy to finally have it in my hands! It comes with a mix of 18 matte, satin and foil-effect shadows. It has such a lovely mix of shades and could be used for both day time looks and going out looks (trust fund is top of my list next time I spend a Friday or Saturday night somewhere other than my bed). The only downside is that it is $95 at Sephora which is just a little on the pricey side.

Anastasia Beverley Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
I know what you're thinking right now. Do you really need both? Ok, probably not but I got them anyway and I have no regrets. The ABH palette is very similar to the Huda palette in terms of shades, however I love the ABH one so much more for daytime. There are so many amazing warm tones that are perfect for everyday. I'm loving Burnt Orange and Realgar at the moment!

Benefit GALifornia Blush
This is a product that I definitely didn't need but after seeing it all over Instagram for the last couple of months I just couldn't resist! I have SO many blushes and probably won't get through half of them in my lifetime but this gorgeous coral pink needed a spot in my collection!

What have you picked up recently?

Charlotte Tilbury Giveaway

Just a quick little post to let you all know I'm running a giveaway on my Instagram where you can win a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Bitch Perfect as well as a blush in Love is the Drug. You can find my Instagram here and the giveaway post here. Hope you all enter and have an amazing Easter!

Lush Easter Collection 2017

I'm sure you're all beyond sick of my Lush hauls but I just had to get my hands on this years Easter collection. Just look how cute it all is! This will be the last one for a while, I promise! This year I picked up a couple new products and a couple re-releases that I've tried before. Here's what I got!

Bunch of Carrots Reusable Bubble Bar
I've tried this little trio of bubbly goodness before however this year instead of all orange carrots, each one is a different colour! Essentially each carrot is a bubble bar that you hold under running water to create bubbles while scents of Sicilian lemon, bergamot and buchu oils fill your bath. I definitely prefer bath bombs over bubble bars but I'm excited to use these together with the other Easter bath bombs.

Chick 'n' Mix Bath Bomb
Chick 'n' Mix is a new 3 in 1 bath bomb release from Lush. The cute little chicken pulls apart to reveal a surprise bath bomb inside. You can either use each part separately or all together however it is quite big so I'd recommend getting the most from your money and using it for a few baths! The scents include comforting tonka absolute and refreshing bergamot oil.

Which Came First? Bath Bomb
I don't think I've ever tried this one before and to be honest I don't think I'll be trying it again. There's nothing wrong with it exactly, it just wasn't very special. I popped this in my bath expecting to be wowed and it fizzled out in all of about 5 seconds without any show. It smelt of lovely Sicilian lemon and grapefruit oil and turned a pretty orange colour, however for almost $10 I was expecting a little more. It also apparently has a surprise chick inside but it was gone so quickly I didn't even have the chance to spot it!

Chocolate Lip Scrub
I'm a huge fan of Lush lip scrubs (especially the bubblegum one) so when I saw they were releasing a chocolate one I had to have it! The scent is actually chocolate and orange which I don't typically love but it really does smell lovely. Like all their scrubs its great for removing any dry skin from your lips and leaves them feeling refreshed and smelling delicious!

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick Review

I've never been a very big fan of any foundation that wasn't a liquid foundation and I never thought in my wildest dreams that a stick foundation would become one of my favourites to date. That was until I tried the new and highly raved about Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick. I bought this beauty on a whim after hearing such good things from other bloggers/Youtubers and I'm so glad I did!

According to Hourglass, this foundation can be used as either a foundation or a concealer due to it's incredibly high pigmentation (almost double that of most foundations). They also claim that it offers a waterproof full coverage finish that lasts for up to 12 hours. The formula of the foundation stick is beautifully creamy and it applies like an absolute dream. I use the Zoeva 104 Buffer Brush to blend it out and it creates a gorgeous high coverage, satin like finish. I tend to use quite a bit of product as I typically prefer a full coverage base, but you could simply use less for a more natural look. Unfortunately for me, the lady at Mecca didn't do a very good job at matching my skin so the one I have is ever so slightly too dark for my skin. This means I have to blend it quite far down my neck and will probably go through the product a lot quicker so make sure you chose the correct shade! In saying this there are 26 shades to choose from so it shouldn't be too difficult!

I don't tend to ever wear my make up for a full 12 hours (it comes off as soon as I get home!) so I can't speak on the apparent 12 hour lasting power but I don't doubt it! I'd say I've worn it for about 8 hours on average and it lasts very well, only getting slightly dewy on my nose. Nothing that can't be fixed with a bit of powder!

This foundation is a serious winner in my books! Have you tried this foundation before? What are your thoughts?

Nars Unfiltered II Blush Palette

If you follow me on Instagram I sincerely apologise for the abundance of photos of this palette, but I mean.. look at it. This bad boy is the recently released Nars Unfiltered II palette. The palette features a range of beautiful cool toned peachy-pink shades mostly suited for pale-medium skin tones, however there is a second palette aimed at darker skin tones.

The six shades include Conquest (very pale matte peachy pink), Undefeated (cool toned shimmery pink), Power Play (Barbie-esque matte cool pink), Hot Sand (light peachy pink), Fame (warm toned peachy pink) and Candid (darker shimmery mauve). Like all Nars blushes, these are super high quality and very pigmented. Undefeated is my current favourite blush as it gives a gorgeous pink sheen to the cheeks without being too shimmery. As you can imagine it's not a cheap purchase ($85 from Mecca) but its one of the most beautiful palettes I own and it's well worth it for six gorgeous blushes!

What is your favourite Nars blush?

The Perfect Prints

I was recently lucky enough to get sent some beautiful polaroid prints from Printiki and thought I'd share a little review with you all.

Printiki is a photo printing service where you select whichever photos you'd like printed, select what format you'd like and then they're delivered straight to your door! Taking photos is probably my favourite thing about blogging as I love seeing creative ideas and concepts come together within a photograph. Printiki is really easy to use and you can select from so many options, such as the square prints I chose or you can even have a photo book made up! You can also select the size, the finish of the photos and you can choose to add or not to add text. These are going to come in handy for me as I think they're great to use as props for the background of Instagram and blog photos! I might even hang some around my room!

What do you think of these prints? Would you ever consider using a service like Printiki?

Another Lush Haul

I recently paid a visit to one of my favourite stores on this planet- Lush! I've done my fair share of Lush hauls on this blog in the past but surely another one can't hurt. I picked up a few new bath bombs that I haven't tried before as well as a few old favourites. Here's what I bought!

Intergalactic
Hands down one of my favourite bath bombs ever. As Intergalactic hits the water it creates an explosion of colours. Pink, purple, blue and gold swirl around the bath tub while scents of peppermint, grapefruit oil and cedar-wood leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated.

Frozen
Frozen is another one of my favourites, one of the reasons being that its inspired by one of my favourite Disney movies. This one explodes with lots of amazing shades of blue as well as sparkling silver lustre. Neroli and rose oil make Frozen incredibly uplifting and refreshing.

Sex Bomb
I tend to opt for bath bombs like Sex Bomb when I really need to destress and relax. Scents of jasmine, ylang ylang and clary sage fill the bath as the water turns a beautiful pink colour. Unlike Intergalactic and Frozen, Sex Bomb doesn't put on a big show, but it's gorgeous nonetheless.

Butterball
Similar to Sex Bomb, Butterball is incredibly soothing due to the warm, comforting scents of cocoa butter and ylang ylang. The cocoa butter also leaves your skin feeling baby's butt smooth!

Blackberry
Blackberry is another great one that leaves you feeling soothed, calm and relaxed due to the bergamot and frankincense oil, both which are used to sooth anxiety and nervous tension. It smells really yummy too!

Rose Bombshell
I've never tried Rose Bombshell before but I'm sure you can guess what it smells like, right? It contains both rose absolute and rose oil, as well as geranium oil and Sicilian lemon oil. From what I've seen, when this baby hits the water a whole lot of rose petals come bursting out too, so I'm very excited to give this a go!

Over and Over
I am also yet to try Over and Over but the smell is right up my alley. Over and Over is incredibly fresh due to scents of lime and fennel. Lush promises fireworks of pink, orange and gold leaving me very excited to use this one! It also contains cocoa butter meaning soft skin is right around the corner.

Have you tried any of these beauties? Which ones are your favourite?

Jo Malone Orange Blossom Cologne

It feels like forever since my last post and I'm so glad to be back! Unfortunately my poor Macbook died on me and it had to be sent away to be fixed hence no blog posts for the last 10 days (writing on your phone is way too difficult!). Today I thought I'd share with you a product I received for my 21st birthday that has quickly become one of my absolute favourite perfumes!

Described as a 'shimmering garden oasis' Jo Malone's Orange Blossom cologne contains notes of clementine flower, orange blossom and water lily with undertones of orriswood and balsamic vetiver. I'm an absolute sucker for light, fresh and fruity fragrances and this one is no exception. It's incredibly vibrant and uplifting and never fails to make you feel awake and ready for the day even if you've just rolled out of bed. It has amazing staying power and and lasts on your skin for most of the day even with only a couple sprays.

I'm super fussy with perfumes making me incredibly hard to buy for. I tend to only like really sweet and fruity fragrances so if you're not like me I'd probably steer clear of this one. However if you are a sweet person I'd definitely recommend giving this a smell as it is fast becoming my go to perfume (but everything is second place next to Viktor and Rolf Bon Bon!).

I'd love to try some other Jo Malone fragrances so be sure to leave me a comment with your favourites!

Monthly Loves | February

I know everyone says it but where on Earth did February go?! This year is just flying by so quickly. It's been a long while since I did any sort of 'favourites' post so today I thought I'd share a few of the products I was loving in February.

Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation This foundation has shared the number one spot for favourite foundation with NARS sheer glow for quite some time now, however I don't think I've mentioned it before on the blog. Luminous Silk is just the perfect foundation for me. It's a lovely medium coverage that can be built up, is the perfect shade for my skin tone and just looks beyond beautiful on the skin. I definitely tend to neglect other foundations in order to wear this one and I don't know what I'll do when I run out! L'Oréal Telescopic Mascara As I mentioned in my budget beauty post (find it here), the L'Oréal Telescopic Mascara is a relatively new addition to my make up bag, but I love it so much already! It gives your lashes so much length and volume and doesn't seem to transfer onto my lids or undereye anywhere near as much as others do- a definite must try! Rimmel Brow This Way This little brow duo had been sitting in my drawer collecting dust for so long before I saw Zoella raving about it in a video so of course I pulled it out. It has a powder and a wax that can be used separately or together for extra fullness. I love using the wax by itself to give my brows a really natural look while still holding them in place. NARS Laguna Laguna is a product that I've had for years and years and have always loved. However for the last year or so it's been neglected for other bronzer goodness (Too Faced bronzers are life). I recently pulled it out again and have been loving the way it works to give an all over bronze glow! Clinique Peach Pop Blush Blushes are one of my favourite make up products ever because they're just so pretty! Peach pop is no exception, just look at it! I've been using it a lot in the last month as it gives the most gorgeous glow. MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty Dainty is another blush favourite of mine for when I'm feeling more of a pink than a peach. MAC blushes are always such great quality and last for ages too! NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Stripped I'm not usually a lip gloss fan but I really, really love this one. It sits on your lips so comfortably without being sticky and is the most gorgeous color too! NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm Like most people, I absolutely love almost all matte liquid lipsticks and some of my favourites are the soft matte lip creams from NYX. They're lovely and pigmented but are super comfortable to wear. I've chosen to feature the shade Stockholm as its what I've been wearing the most but I love all of them!
What have you been using throughout the month of February?

Academy Awards Top 3 Best Dressed

Unless you live under a rock, I'm sure you all know yesterday was the 89th Academy Awards ceremony. Award season is one of my favourite times of the year as I'm such an avid lover of film and the Oscars is always at the top of my must watch list. If it's not clear from the first three photos of this post La La Land is my absolute favourite movie of this season and Emma Stone can do no wrong in my eyes. I'm absolutely obsessed and definitely have a little bit of a girl crush going on. As usual there was lots of amazing fashion. Here are my top three fashion picks!

Emma Stone in Givenchy
In my opinion, Emma was the absolute stand out of the night. She looked absolutely incredible and both her dress by Givenchy and make up were completely faultless. Stunning!

Emma Roberts in Armani Privé
Emma #2 is another favourite of mine, both last night and in general. I really loved her completely sustainable Armani Privé dress paired with gorgeous Swarovski jewellery and a red lip. Both fashionable and environmentally friendly!

Olivia Culpo in Marchesa
Olivia is someone who I'm not overly familiar with however when I was looking through red carpet photos I fell in love with her Gatsby like dress. I'm not a huge fan of her hair styling but the dress is stunning!

Who was your fashion favourite of the night?

Hairburst- Does it Really Work?

I honestly don't even want to think of how many times I've coloured my hair over the years. I've been red, dark brown and many, many different shades of blonde (including white). As you can imagine, I've suffered from my fair share of damaged hair. However, in the last year or so I've managed to really rehydrate and bring my hair from super damaged to relatively healthy, with the help of multiple different products (two of which are mentioned here in my holy grail hair products post). Hairburst is another product that has completely transformed my hair.

The Best of Budget Beauty

While I'm a huge lover of high-end beauty products, theres nothing better than finding an amazing budget option for a fraction of the price (because who doesn't want more money in their bank account?!). Today I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite budget beauty products which will hopefully help if you're on the hunt for something new that won't break the bank.

A Little Lush Haul

There is absolutely nothing I love more than a Lush haul so today I thought I'd share with you a few little bits I've picked up recently.

Valentines Outfit Ideas

Are the Boys in My Yard Yet?

Please tell me you guys aren't getting sick of Valentines content yet? I really hope not because I'm loving it and there's even more to come! I've been really excited to start getting some non-beauty related posts up and thought Valentines would be the perfect time to start. I'd really like to start branching out and including not only beauty related content but also fashion, food and so much more. So what better way to start than with Valentines themed strawberry milkshakes to sip with your significant other come February 14th!

To make these you will need vanilla ice-cream, milk of your choosing, strawberry topping, whipped cream, pink sprinkles and lots of pretty decorations. First cover the rim of you glass or jar in something sticky (I used maple syrup but you can you chocolate fudge sauce), dip in pink sprinkles and allow to set. In a blender combine 1 cup of milk, 4 scoops of ice-cream and your desired amount of strawberry syrup. Continue to add more ice-cream until you reach your desired thickness. Then top with whipped cream and decorate with all things pretty and pink. Enjoy!

Easy Valentines Nail Art

While Valentines Day may not be the most important holiday around, I really can't help but love it. What's better than filling up on chocolate, receiving flowers and wearing pink? While the pink outfits may have to wait until the day itself, now is the perfect time to rock some Valentines inspired nail art. I kept this one pretty simple as I don't have the same patience for nail art that I used to, but it's pretty cute nonetheless.

I started by applying a base coat, followed by 3 coats of a baby pink nail polish by Models Own (Pink Veneer, but you can use whatever you like). I then cut off a piece of sticky tape, folded it in half and cut a half heart shape into the fold. When you open the piece of sticky tape you should have a whole heart stencil. I then placed it on my nail after the pink had dried and applied 2 coats of red nail polish over the tape. Wait for it to dry slightly, remove the sticky tape and finish with a top coat. Super easy and very cute!

Let me know if you plan on trying this super easy look!

Love is in the Air

Tartelette In Bloom palette
NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams
Too Face Love Flush Blush
Lush The Kiss lip scrub
Victor & Rolf BonBon perfume
Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks
Lush Lover Lamp bathbomb

With Valentines day just around the corner I thought now would be the perfect time to put together a pretty little flatlay of all the things I'm going to be using and loving come the 14th. Some of my favourite bits include the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams, the Tartelette In Bloom palette and the Viktor and Rolf BonBon perfume. I hope you've all got a wonderful Valentines Day planned, whether it be with the girls, with a special someone or even by yourself. Let me know if you've tried any of these pretty in pink products and what you think of them in the comments!

Holy Grail Hair Products

A couple of years ago I made the huge mistake of dyeing my hair white (I'm talking paper white, not blonde). Ever since then I've struggled with keeping my hair healthy and strong. That was until I came across these two hair heroes.

Olaplex: I've been using Olaplex No. 3 for well over a year now and I can say with absolute confidence that this is hands down the best hair discovery I've ever made. Olaplex No. 3 is a treatment that repairs broken bonds in your hair in order to create super strong and healthy hair. I use it at least once a week before I hop in the shower and then follow up with shampoo and conditioner. It's not the cheapest hair product on the market but it's definitely worth it!

Ouai Hair Oil: I've never really been a fan of hair oils as most that I've tried tend to weigh my hair down and leave it looking greasy and heavy. However, the Ouai Hair Oil has changed my mind completely. It leaves my hair looking super shiny and sleek without weighing it down. The oil can be used either on wet hair before blowdrying or after blowdrying for extra sheen. I tend to pop a little on before and after blowdrying but that's just what works best for me!

Have you tried either of these products?

The Happiest Place on Earth

I recently got back from an amazing trip to Japan so clearly a Disney post is in order. My first Disneyland experience was about five years ago in Hong Kong and walking into the park with Toy Story music playing in the background almost made me cry from happiness! This time was no different.

While I was in Tokyo I visited both Disneyland and DisneySea which is an exclusive to Japan park inspired by the ocean. Anyone that knows me knows I have an intense love for the sea and anything Little Mermaid related so DisneySea was a must do. Luckily I managed to convince my boyfriend that two days at Disney was necessary.

The highlights of Disneyland for me are always Cinderella's castle and the parades. There's nothing I love more than grabbing some Disney themed snacks (such as those amazing Mickey waffles) and watching all the characters go by. Other highlights are the rides of course. Some of my favourites include Space Mountain and the Pirates of the Caribbean river ride.

Obviously nothing topped Mermaid Lagoon at DisneySea in my eyes. One word- STUNNING. Mermaid Lagoon from the outside looks beautiful but fairly small with the ocean themed castle and a couple of rides, however much to my surprise the inside of the castle was a magical underwater world complete with rides, shops and little food stalls. Safe to say I was in heaven.

The little Toy Story area on the American Waterfront at DisneySea is also super cute. If you ever find yourself there make sure you grab some green alien mochi. I'm still not sure whether I'm a fan or not but they are adorable and totally worth a try!

Planning on visiting?
-Make sure you take advantage of fastpass tickets in order to avoid long waits! Especially for Space Mountain, Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Tower of Terror and Toy Story Mania.
-Eat ALL the food! My favourites were the Mickey pizza, the Mickey waffles and the Sea Salt Monaka at DisneySea (it was beyond delicious!).
-Wear something Disney themed because everyone does (or at the least buy some Mickey ears).
-Stay for the fireworks and the night parade, you won't be sorry!

Thanks for an amazing two days Disney! I'll definitely be back!
